Are you a strategic HR leader with strong business acumen and a passion for aligning people strategies with operational goals? We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support a dynamic, mid-sized public sector organization undergoing transformation and growth.

This is a permanent role with broad scope — leading workforce planning, supporting organizational effectiveness, and serving as a key advisor to business leaders and leadership teams.

**Hybrid work model, 3 days in office, 2 days from home**

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with senior leaders to assess, develop, and implement workforce strategies that align with business goals.

  • Lead annual workforce planning processes, identifying talent gaps, resourcing needs, and succession strategies.

  • Provide expert guidance on organizational design, role classification, and team structure.

  • Coach and support leaders on employee relations, performance management, and engagement strategies.

  • Collaborate with HR centers of excellence (e.g., Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition) to deliver tailored solutions.

  • Support change management efforts during key organizational initiatives.

  • Interpret policies and ensure alignment with employment legislation and organizational values.

  • Build trusted relationships across departments and contribute to a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

What You Bring:
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in a business partner or senior generalist role.

  • Proven experience in workforce planning, organizational development, and leadership coaching.

  • Strong working knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices in Alberta.

  • Experience supporting teams through change and process improvement.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.

  • A CPHR designation (or working toward) is strongly preferred.

  • Experience in unionized and public-sector environments is an asset.
