About the Role

Our client is seeking an ERP Manager to lead the development, configuration, support, and continuous improvement of its enterprise resource planning environment. This role will provide both technical leadership and people management, overseeing a team of ERP developers and/or analysts while partnering closely with business stakeholders and IT leadership.

The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on ERP experience and the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. Experience with any major ERP platform is welcome, including Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.

As the organization continues to evaluate and modernize its ERP environment, the ERP Manager will play an important role in supporting platform strategy, system improvements, integrations, and future technology transitions.

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of ERP developers and/or analysts, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment.
  • Establish development standards, code review processes, documentation practices, and technical best practices.
  • Contribute to ERP strategy and modernization initiatives in alignment with broader business objectives.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of ERP platforms, modules, add-ons, and third-party integrations.
  • Design, develop, configure, and customize ERP solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications and configuration guides.
  • Lead and support system testing, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Troubleshoot ERP issues and oversee day-to-day support and incident resolution.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to support ERP system availability, scalability, performance, and security.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between ERP and other business applications using APIs, web services, EDI, and related technologies.
  • Support ERP upgrades, enhancements, migrations, and platform transitions.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize system performance and improve overall ERP functionality.
  • Develop and maintain data migration processes and support data quality and master data management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business users on reporting requirements and support the development of reports and dashboards.
  • Provide end-user training, documentation, and ongoing technical support.
  • Ensure ERP solutions follow applicable data protection requirements and security best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 5–8 years of experience in ERP development and/or configuration using a major ERP platform such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
  • Experience leading or mentoring ERP developers and/or analysts.
  • Strong understanding of ERP architecture, data models, and development frameworks.
  • Proficiency in SQL, including data modeling, querying, and optimization.
  • Experience developing ERP integrations using APIs, web services, EDI, or similar technologies.
  • Knowledge of ERP testing methodologies, including unit, integration, and UAT.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with ERP upgrades, migrations, implementations, or platform transitions.
  • Understanding of business processes across areas such as finance, supply chain, inventory, warehouse, and manufacturing.
  • Experience with version control and code repository management tools.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving ERP environments.
  • Experience with multiple ERP platforms is considered an asset.
  • Experience within a manufacturing, distribution, or other operationally complex environment is considered an asset.
