We are seeking an experienced Receptionist to join a highly specialized, fast-paced medical related office in northwest Calgary. This temporary role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, can navigate emotionally complex situations with professionalism, and can handle challenging conversations or intense subject matter.
This role is starting ASAP until the end of August with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer high-volume phone lines and handle sensitive calls with empathy and professionalism
- Greet and direct walk-in visitors, including members of the public
- Process, sort, and file documentation related to complex case files
- Assist with form processing, records management, and internal correspondence
- Adapt to established (and sometimes old-school) filing systems and internal procedures
- Support the team with additional administrative duties as needed
Who You Are:
- A seasoned receptionist with experience handling difficult or emotional calls
- Calm, composed, and confident when interacting with all people
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working in an environment that deals with medical cases, and occasionally difficult to read subject matter
- Quick to learn, proactive in seeking help, and respectful of leadership preferences
- Able to adapt to established protocols and processes
