David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Temporary Administrative Assistant based in Edmonton, AB. Our client, a government branch located in downtown Edmonton, is seeking a temporary Administrative Assistant AS5 level to fill a busy position on a temporary basis for a 3 month contract. In this role your main responsibility will be to create a "how to" for the division. If you are an organized individual who is a strong written and verbal communicator, then this is the perfect position for you! Intermediate user of both MS Word and Excel required.

The Role:
  • Organizing travel arrangements, coordinating meetings events 
  • Completing expense reports
  • Attending meetings and document discussions and actions (taking minutes) to track decisions and follow up items
  • Creating written processes for various programs such as ARTS
  • Maintaining a 'bring forward' system and follow-up on items to ensure the timely completion of tasks
  • Liaising with various departments and gathering information for Administrators and consultants
  • Liaising with ministry and file manager for setting up electronic and paper documentation for all processes
  • Providing support for special projects    

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Minimum of 3 years of Government Administrative Assistant experience
  • Records management and documentation experience
  • Intermediate MS Excel and Word skills
  • Familiar with video conferencing
  • Strong communication and time management skills
