David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit for a Technical Sales Representative.

Our client is a global manufacturer serving the mechanical discipline marketplace. David Aplin Group is proud of our long standing partnership with this quality company. 

They are seeking our assistance in recruiting a rock star candidate for their newly developed Fort McMurray Technical Sales Representative role. Our client hires the best of the best for their team and someone who holds themselves to that same standard of sales excellence. 

The Role:

The primary focus of this role will be to promote and sell company products, concepts and services to prospects, specifiers, buyers, distributors and end users to the oilsands marketplace.  The focus of this role will be on mechanical piping systems “in-plant” applications on oil sands sites. 

The Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking someone who has prior experience in this marketplace and ideally with instrument air systems, process water, domestic water, fire water, eye wash stations, bitumen lines and any other process piping application in upgrading environments. 

The product mix for this role also includes selling engineering and design service so familiarity selling engineered solutions would be helpful. The client base for this role will include Project Engineers, Reliability Engineers, Project Managers, Maintenance Managers and operations personnel in turnaround and shutdown planning. This position will also be hands on with fabricators and installation contractor to ensure proper on-site installation. 

You can see that this is an all-encompassing technical sales role so we are hoping to recruit someone who will embrace this exciting challenge and opportunity!

Qualifications for this role are a strong sales background with prior professional sales training, coupled with an above average technical/mechanical aptitude, superior negotiation, planning, organizational and presentation skills that compliments your current 3 to 5 years of sales experience in the industrial marketplace.

For this newly developed role our client offers a competitive base salary with an attractive northern living allowance coupled with an attractive uncapped variable incentive program.
