David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Technical Sales Representative - Instrumentation based in Edmonton, Alberta.

The Role:

  • Develop and implement a personal sales plan to ensure sales, budget and revenue goals are met
  • Create timely customer call plans and reports, and update all related activities in the CRM
  • Business development in new markets as well as servicing existing customers
  • Collaborate with the management team to expand the company’s presence in the territory
  • Grow market share through continual communication with new prospects by converting them to customers
  • Negotiate and close new sales agreements
  • Continually sharpen your skill set and abilities through attendance of appropriate sales and training courses
  • Promote the company’s image and develop contacts through participation in various relevant outside organizations including trade shows
  • Monitor industry trends in order to identify emerging markets and develop strategic plans to help capture those markets
The Ideal Candidate:

  • Post-secondary education or technical diploma desired
  • Sales experience is a must with preferably 5 years in the oil and gas industry
  • Motivated, self-starter with the ability to manage time and your territory appropriately
  • Superior communication skills
  • Coachable and adaptable to the company’s methods of selling
  • Open to exploring new business opportunities
