An opening currently exists within the Aplin Office Professionals division of our Mississauga branch for a Talent Acquisition Recruiter (180 desk)!

What does this role entail?

  • Confer with Consultants to identify candidate requirements: job order specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills
  • Create job postings
  • Lead the creation and execution of recruiting and interviewing plans for each open job order
  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees
  • Use social and professional networking sites and job board resume databases to identify and source candidates and research new ways of using the Internet for recruitment
  • Build networks to find qualified passive candidates
  • Develop a pool of pre-qualified candidates in advance of needs
  • Accept, review, and enter all applications received (resumes, voicemail, referrals) in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), pre-screen all qualified candidates subject to the Job Description and minimum hiring criteria (English and/or French language clarity, work history, education, training, job skills and salary etc.), and thoroughly interview top candidates for cultural fit with prospective employers
  • Collect all required Background Check Authorization Forms, in order to conduct reference and background checks on applicants
  • Efficiently and effectively fill open job orders
  • Contact candidates to inform them of the status of their employment possibilities, consideration, and selection, and encourage candidate referrals
  • Conduct regular follow-up with Consultants to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation
  • Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates
What do you need to succeed?

Along with a positive, go-getter attitude and outstanding interpersonal, communication and time-management skills, you will:

  • Diploma/Degree preferred
  • Innovative thinker, able to use and develop new sources for recruitment
  • Able to work in a result focused environment and ask great questions
  • Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required
  • Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills
  • Able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively with different managers, candidate personalities, etc.
  • Good training, coaching, and active listening skills are essential
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with candidates, clients, consultants, and corporate departments
  • Excellent in all MS Office with high attention-to-detail for all data entry requirements
  • Thrive when working towards a deadline or metric-based target
