Join a top employer and advance your career. Our client, a leader in their field, has partnered with David Aplin Group to hire a Supply Chain/Procurement Specialist. This is a remote, one-year contract with the possibility to extend availability to candidates Canada wide

Responsibilities:
  • Pre-contract activity includes:
    • Program-wide stakeholder engagement to identify the requirement
    • Supplier Qualification (PQQ), tender process, RFI, RFP, RFP with vendors
    • Tender evaluations
    • Contract negotiation and agree on robust commercial agreements for ISI and the client
  • Supplier management includes:
    • Develop and improve supplier quality, cost, and delivery performance
  • Contract management includes:
    • Execution of negotiated contract through ISI’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) & MRP (Material Resource Planning) systems
  • Integrated sourcing initiatives include:
    • Develop and implement category sourcing strategies
    • Analyze market conditions (ex: pricing, availability, lead-time and capacity)
  • Continuous improvement includes:
    • Support new product introduction activities
    • Apply the principles of continuous improvement to the design and development of supply chain processes
    • Undertake cost analysis for direct material and services
    • Issue POs for material
Qualifications:
  • Education Required: University Degree 
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in a procurement, supply chain or engineering function
  • Procurement/Supply Chain accreditation: SCMP, MCIPS or ISM would be an ass
  • Defence experience would be an asset
  • Proven commercial skillset
  • Demonstrable results-focused
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong sense of urgency to complete tasks
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Previous exposure to market analytics and insights
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills
