David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Pensions Administrator based in Calgary, AB.
This is a great opportunity for a Pensions Administrator who brings a strong understanding of calculating and processing pension benefits and someone who has a strong aptitude for figures with attention to detail!
Understands and apply the terms of applicable documentation and provincial pension legislation for Alberta.
Working in a customer service environment, you will be responsible for the member services administration unit of a multi-employer defined benefit pension plan including calculating, processing and peer review of various benefit payments.
Ability to handle a large volume of calls resolving member inquiries and concerns.
Written and verbal communication with plan beneficiaries.
Preparation of general reports, assisting with special projects as required and working closely with the Head of Pension Administration to maintain a high level of customer service within the Unit.
Good working knowledge of i5Series (AS400) or a similar system.
A High School Diploma is required with four plus years of experience in a busy office environment working within a Defined Benefit Pensions Plan team.
Knowledge of the provincial legislation for Alberta.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
Strong aptitude for figures, high attention to detail and accuracy to meet multiple deadlines.
Ability to work within a team with minimum supervision.
Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel and Word (mail merges).
Criminal check is required for this role.
