David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Senior Loan Support Specialist based in downtown Edmonton, AB.

Our client, who is rapidly growing is currently looking for a Senior Loan Support Specialist for a 12 month contract that has the possibility of an extension for the right individual. The successful Senior Loan Support Specialist will have at least 5 years experience in commercial credit and support, previous experience driving and leading a team, process and conflict resolution driven and thrive in a team based environment. 

Intermediate word and excel skills are essential for success. T24 is system experience is considered a strong asset!

The Role:

  • Collaboratively working with the manager of loan support to dive quality and data integrity 
  • Supporting continuous improvement of credit support directly related to loan support and origination 

  • Implementing and maintaining a process which leads to predictability of daily credit support outcome

  • Monitoring, reporting and meeting departments targets and benchmarks 

  • Actively participate in weekly meeting on team progress, goal and objectives

  • Providing support and T24 authorizations to Loan admin team

Participating and managing specific department project

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration is considered and asset

  • 5 years experience in commercial credit and support

  • Advanced knowledge of business banking, risk management and loan/credit processes

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse geographical group and senior management teams

  • Customer focused with strong knowledge of commercial lending policies, procedures, regulations, documentation, collateral securities and audit requirements

  • Creative problem solving and conflict resolution skills, respectful and self-motivate team player

  • MS Office Suite, Adobe proficient working with forms in addition to experience working in a banking system

  • Extensive Travel - as required
