David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit for a Senior Director, Business Development.

Our client, a large engineering firm, is currently seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of Senior Director, Business Development in their Calgary office. Their established engineering consulting company provides an excellent work environment and growth opportunity to individuals that thrive on client satisfaction and helping solve their operational problems. Our client offers challenging work, competitive salaries, and the support of a large network of technical engineers.

The Role:

  • Develop new client relationships by managing prospects.
  • Work with our Integration Manager to coordinate and pursue Canadian technical sales.
  • Carry out field visits to client facilities and offices to discuss client challenges.
  • Explore with clients their technical requirements and connect them with the appropriate engineer within our Client's network.
  • Prepare and review proposals for clients.
  • Participate in technical associations, conferences and expos.
  • Grow our engineering services practice through technical/capability presentations to potential clients.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum of 10 years of practical senior-level sales experience related to Oil & Gas (Upstream, Midstream or Downstream).
  • Willing and able to travel.
  • Proactive individual with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable speaking about various facility equipment and understand their need for our services.
  • Confident self-starter and can present technical material in a clear concise manner, both verbally and written.
  • Bachelors of science in engineering preferred.
  • Strong contacts in the Oil and Gas industry.

  • $160,000 - $180,000 per annum, plus bonuses, incentives, car, benefits, etc.
