David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Senior Administrative Assistant based in North Edmonton, AB.

As a well-established construction company verging on an expansion, our client is seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant with 3 years of experience to join their dynamic team for a 13 month, maternity leave. During this temporary position, the successful Administrative Assistant will provide office support to both the accounting and estimating teams, reporting directly to the President of the company.

This position requires a resourceful person with excellent communication, time management skills, and intermediate MS Word and Excel skills.

The Role:

  • Helping estimators close tenders
  • Submitting and processing invoices
  • Administrative support for the Accounting department
  • Bank deposits
  • Coordinating marketing events
  • Communicating with several different departments

The Ideal Candidate:

  • At least 3 years of experience in an administration role
  • Intermediate MS Word skills with the ability to create correspondence using templates, headers, and footers
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including a working knowledge of basic formulas, spreadsheets, and tables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work on a team
  • Own vehicle is required, mileage will be reimbursed
