David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit an experienced Security Coordinator for a 3-month contract.
Reporting to the Manager of Information Security, the Security Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the implementation of corporate security strategy. This includes the development and maintenance of security policies and processes, assisting with the execution of security activities and being an advocate for the organizations security.
Assist in working with auditors to successfully complete SOC2 and other certifications
Lead the activities associated with threat and risk assessments for new technologies
Assist in the development and maintenance of corporate security policies and processes
Educate stakeholders on their roles and responsibilities in the way of security by developing training materials including documents, videos, visual aids and presentations
Support the Corporate Security Office in the evaluation of suspected security incidents and recommend corrective actions
Work with the Sales and Marketing teams to answer questions related to security during the RFP process
The Ideal Candidate:
At least 2 years of experience in a security-related area
Exposure to and knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27K and other security standards
Have strong oral and written communication skills in English
Industry certification in Security
Notable experience around developing policy and procedure guidelines
Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential information and sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy
Well organized and able to work under deadlines and multiple projects
Experience working with OWASP or CSRF would be a strong asset
