Our client, a Canada wide Data and Records Management Firm, is seeking for an experienced Career Receptionist for their prestigious firm. Located in one of Edmonton's admired high-rises; this temporary 6 month position has the possibility of permanency for the right person.  As the Career Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing a great first impression to all visitors, and management, as well for performing administrative tasks requested by the senior management team. Intermediate Word and Excel required. Knowledge in SAP or Sharepoint will be considered an asset.

The Role:

  • Meeting and greeting business guests at reception
  • Ability to provide guests with a brief run through of the organization's history and core values
  • Answering incoming calls - on average 100 calls per day
  • Screening phone calls and relaying messages on behalf of Consultants and Senior Management
  • Overseeing the distribution of incoming mail, sign for priority on overnight packages and prepping mail for outgoing collection by courier
  • Scheduling appointments for Senior Management ensuring no conflicting events
  • Booking meeting rooms for Consultants, Management and business guests
  • Ordering Catering for events and coordinating event logistics
  • Photocopying and scanning documents business files
  • Receiving and managing mail, emails, and faxes
  • Drafting email correspondence for the team
  • Creating memos and spreadsheets to assist the team with small projects
  • Ordering offices supplies
  • Creating and implementing office filing system
  • Light housekeeping duties
The Ideal Candidate:

  • 2+ years of experience in a receptionist role
  • Intermediate proficiency Microsoft Word and Excel applications
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced interpersonal, enthusiasm and communication skills
