David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Receptionist / Administrative Assistant based in North West Edmonton.

Our client is looking for an Receptionist/ Administrative Assistant to support their Manufacturing office. Reporting to the HR Manager, this person will respond to all incoming calls, greet and direct visitors, answer inquiries in a positive and professional manner, and be the representative of the organization! This position requires someone who is capable of handling a high volume of calls while simultaneously preforming administrative duties and payroll processing. 

Temporary Assistance required for 3 weeks in the lad up to Xmas!

Intermediate MS Word and Excel skills are required for the role.

The Role:

  • Greeting visitors in a professional manner and directing them to the appropriate area
  • Answering phone calls and email inquiries
  • Managing a high volume multi-line switchboard and transferring calls
  • Ensuring the front desk is tidy, organized and presentable
  • Assisting with payroll processing
  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Ordering office supplies when required
  • Performing some data entry and filing
  • Typing up business correspondence when required
The Ideal Candidate:

  • 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Intermediate MS Word and Excel skills, with the ability to work with spreadsheets and templates
  • Excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks
