David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client, one of the leading manufacturers of interior and exterior doors, wood, vinyl and aluminum windows to recruit for a Quality Manager/Continuous Improvement. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this individual will be responsible for leading all areas of continuous improvement pertaining to the quality of the manufacturing process.
Identify and facilitate continuous improvement and quality projects using appropriate problem-solving tools to achieve improvements and sustainable results.
Conduct root cause analysis to determine opportunities for improvement.
Ensure accurate data collection, documentation and reporting is done to implement change and propel the quality systems throughout the facility.
Manage all the quality system activities using the established practices and procedures consistent with the company’s business philosophy and the company’s KPI’s.
The Ideal Candidate:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with at least five-years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a well-rounded background in the lean manufacturing, quality systems, 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement.
Focused time management and organizational skills
Strong critical thinking and data analysis capabilities to inform decisions.
Strong collaboration and influencing skills, with a proven track record of forging excellent relationships across organizations and with senior management.
Versatility and a willingness to work with changing priorities and parameters
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines
Building products and home improvement industry knowledge and experience are strong assets as well as previous experience in the window and door business would be considered an asset.
