Project Controls – Principal Consultant & Advisor (Mining)
This is a pinnacle career opportunity to lead the Project Controls Function at one of the world’s most reputable mining projects.
You will advise the Senior Management Team to best utilize and leverage the appropriate tools and procedures ensuring ‘Best in Class’ Project Controls, Cost Estimating, and Scheduling functions are in place.
Develop and maintain systems to ensure that project costs and schedule can be reliably tracked against baseline and re-forecasted budgets
Develop and maintain systems to supply accurate and timely reporting of actual costs, schedule and earned value on weekly, monthly and annual basis
Develop and maintain Supplier tracking and management systems
Develop data collection tools and processes
Support the Project team for any internal or external audits of the Project Controls systems
Cost Estimating & Scheduling:
Develop cost estimating tools that conform to all cost estimating standards
Maintain unit rate data sets for various on-site activities in order to support forecasting
Develop quarterly re-forecasts of the upcoming five years in accordance with standards
Prepare Basis of Estimate and other supporting documentation for major capital estimates or as required
Support the Project team for any internal or external review of cost estimates
