David Aplin Group, one of Canada’s best managed companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Production Supervisor based in Edmonton, AB. 

Our West Edmonton client is seeking a dynamic individual to help lead, inspire and engage the manufacturing team as a Production Supervisor.  This role has a strong focus on creating a safe work environment, production efficiency, and ensuring results.  The idea candidate has excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as attention to detail.

The Role:
  • Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Review of weekly reports with team to discuss performance and develop strategies
  • Secure inventory readiness through inspection, assessment and physical inventory counts
  • Submit material provide receiving document to work teams/vendors on a timely basis to support completion requirements
  • Focus on driving first time quality and reducing service calls
  • Ensure employees are informed on all programs and policies
  • Complete mid-term and annual performance reviews at established periodicities
  • Conduct business in compliance with all Safety, Transportation, and Environmental Policies
  • conduct daily safety meetings, training and observations
  • Ensures operating standards are conducted; supported by robust training and communication actions
The Ideal Candidate: 
  • Relevant post-secondary education in business, construction or other is preferred 
  • 4+ years of experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing or construction environment
  • Experience with Lean fundamentals in the manufacturing industry 
  • Working knowledge of MS Office 
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A desire to create the safest, most cost-effective work environment and exceed customer expectations
