David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Procurement Coordinator.

The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for ordering, reviewing, and restocking products for the wholesale group. Our client is looking for someone that has a great work ethic, positive attitude with the ability to grow in the role as is it evolves.

The Role:
  • Drug ordering from various designated vendors, ensuring the most effective source is selected, and updates relevant software to of ordered products. 
  • Analyzing prices between various designated Suppliers for better prices and maintaining as product list. 
  • Expanding suppliers and manufacturers list both locally in Canada as well as in U.S. Helping in Receiving products to check required information according to SOP 
  • Oversees product procurement, usage, and supply utilizing most profitable supply chain alternatives 
  • Ensures optimum pricing and rebates to drive profitability 
  • Oversees shipping including but not limited to: customs processes, product recall, returns, disposal, and quarantine 
  • Maintains optimum level of inventory 
  • Forecasts, coordinates, and schedules staff allocations, including review and approval of vacation requests. 
  • Maintains workplace safety and ensures appropriate SOPS are developed to maintain a safe working environment. 
  • Creates and revises SOPs as required to maintain compliance with Health Canada standards and in collaboration with Quality Assurance 
  • Is responsible for Change Controls and Deviation Management including corrective and preventative actions 
  • Manages customer concerns 
  • Other duties as assigned 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Negotiation Skills 
  • Advanced computer skills (Excel, Internet Explorer) 
  • Familiarity with medications / drug knowledge is preferred 
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills 
  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast paced environment
  • Driving license as there will be deliveries to make at times
