President  & Chief Executive Officer

The President & Chief Executive officer will be responsible, but not limited to, the growth and management of long-term funding strategies, capital and operating budgets, and the development and enhancement of all facilities and programs. While creating a positive environment for all of the center’s employees and visitors, the President & CEO will work closely with the board of trustee’s to ensure the mission and values of the organization are met.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • A University Degree or Certificate (preferably in environmental biology, fundraising, tourism or business)
  • Experience in facilities development and management is considered an asset
  • Social enterprise knowledge and experience
  • Demonstrated success in major gifts
  • Strong  leadership, operational & administrative abilities
  • Experience working with both businesses and benefactors
  • A true passion for the outdoors and a genuine understanding/respect for the environment
  • Prior experience reporting to a Board
  • An open mind and a strong sense of collaboration
  • Preference to those residing in, or returning to Winnipeg
