Process pension payments and refunds
Process EFT transactions
Run PMBS Payroll reports and reconcile report totals to control sheets and bank filing reports.
Prepare refund and pension bank reconciliation supporting documents.
Handle all aspects of accounting related to pension payments & receipts
Posting all journal entries as required
GL & Payroll reconciliations
Determine if pension adjustments or Past Service Pension Adjustments are required
Calculate and issue T10's
Assist with Cost of Living Allowance rate adjustments
Compile CRA required reporting to ensure compliance as a pension plan administrator
The Ideal Candidate:
Have 2-5 years working in accounting and payroll
Experience working with pensions
Able to handle high volumes of work, tight deadlines, and high pressure scenarios
Very detail oriented
Excellent communication skills - past experience assisting external customers and vendors
Basic to intermediate knowledge of tax regulations relating to pensions and RRSP's
Post-secondary in an applicable area of study is an asset
Experience with JD Edwards is an asset
