David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit an experienced, results-driven, customer focused individual to join their Payroll department for an immediate temporary Payroll Administrator position in Winnipeg, MB. As the Payroll Administrator, your primary responsibilities will include processing the full cycle payroll. The incumbent candidate should be a team player, quick learner, organized and have good time management skills.

The Role:

  • Responsible for bi-weekly payroll processing (non-union, and unionized), account reconciliation, journal entries and government remittances
  • Process attendance, sick time, overtime
  • Calculate taxable benefits, and prepare T-4 summaries
  • Input data into the HRIS system and respond to employee inquiries
  • Completing ROE's
  • Create new hire files and filing for the documents received in payroll

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years of Payroll experience and working level knowledge of Canadian payroll regulations and guidelines
  • Must have relevant post-secondary education (Certificate in Payroll Management, PCP/CPM)
  • Must have knowledge of computerized payroll/accounting systems
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills including MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Accurate data input skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well independently with a multitude of deadlines and alterations
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills and the ability to compose and edit documents
  • Ensuring effective and efficient administration of the senior management office
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of Manitoba Employment Standards

Salary range will vary depending on experience from $ 20-22/hour.
