Payroll Administrator - Immediate temporary opportunity

David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit an experienced, results driven, customer focused individual to join their Payroll department for an immediate temporary Payroll Administrator position. As the Payroll Administrator your primary responsibilities will include processing payroll. The incumbent candidate should be a team player, quick learner, organized and have good time management skills.

The Role:
  • Responsible for biweekly payroll processing for a staff of 300 in Payworks 
  • Process attendance, sick time, overtime
  • Calculate taxable benefits, and prepare T-4 summaries
  • Input data into the HRIS system and respond to employee inquiries 
  • Completing ROE's
  • Create new hire files and filing for the documents received in payroll
The Ideal Candidate:
  • 2 plus years of Payroll experience and working level knowledge of Canadian payroll regulations and guidelines
  • Must have relevant post-secondary education 
  • Must have knowledge of computerized payroll / accounting systems, experience with Payworks is required
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills including MS Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Accurate data input skills with strong attention to detail
  • Salary range will vary depending on experience from $ 15-16/hour
