David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit for a Payroll Administrator.
Our downtown client, requires a confident Payroll Administrator to join their team in Edmonton. This is a permanent opportunity that will offer the chosen Payroll Administrator the chance to become an integral part of the team, in a fast paced environment. General duties of the Payroll Administrator are, but may not be limited to:
Processing multi-cycle payroll for employees, contractors and LTD
Liaison with internal employees, temps/contractors and external sources
Respond to queries regarding payroll inquiries
Investigate and resolve payroll issues with Payroll Manager
Ensure contractor/temp payroll is completed on time
Ensure contractor/temp payroll is accurate
Process stops and Record of Employments
Coordinate with invoicing for client set up
Process employee information changes
Assist Payroll Manager in best practices in quality, efficiencies and excellent customer service
The Ideal Candidate:
4+ years of previous payroll experience in a similar role
Strong knowledge of payroll processes and procedures
PCP certification is an asset, however relevant experience is of equal value
Strong understanding of multi-jurisdictional payroll processing requirements
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
Able to adapt to new environments and procedures with ease
Good communication skills for corresponding with colleagues, management and field personnel
