David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit for a Payroll Administrator.

Our downtown client, requires a confident Payroll Administrator to join their team in Edmonton. This is a permanent opportunity that will offer the chosen Payroll Administrator the chance to become an integral part of the team, in a fast paced environment. General duties of the Payroll Administrator are, but may not be limited to:

  • Processing multi-cycle payroll for employees, contractors and LTD 
  • Liaison with internal employees, temps/contractors and external sources
  • Respond to queries regarding payroll inquiries
  • Investigate and resolve payroll issues with Payroll Manager
  • Ensure contractor/temp payroll is completed on time
  • Ensure contractor/temp payroll is accurate
  • Process  stops and Record of Employments
  • Coordinate with invoicing for client set up
  • Process employee information changes
  • Assist  Payroll Manager in best practices in quality, efficiencies and excellent customer service
The Ideal Candidate:

  • 4+ years of previous payroll experience in a similar role 
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and procedures
  • PCP certification is an asset, however relevant experience is of equal value
  • Strong understanding of multi-jurisdictional payroll processing requirements
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Able to adapt to new environments and procedures with ease
  • Good communication skills for corresponding with colleagues, management and field personnel
