David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit an experienced, results driven, customer focused individual to join their Payroll department for an immediate temporary to hire opportunity as a Payroll Administrator.
As the Payroll Administrator your primary responsibilities will include processing the full cycle payroll. The incumbent candidate should be a team player, quick learner, organized and have good time management skills.
Responsible for full cycle payroll processing for (unionized, hourly, salary, commission) for 800 employees, multi-provincially and multi-unionized
Set up new hires, deal with paper work for terminations
Import timesheet hours biweekly
Setting up new hires in the ADP HR system
Verify hours and adjust accordingly
Assist with sorting and distributing biweekly pay stubs and annual T4's and T2200's
Dealing with any related issues regarding pay as required
Create new hire files and filing for the documents received in payroll
Also HR Administration including conducting references, drafting offer letters, data entry of confidential HR information etc
The Ideal Candidate:
2 - 3 years of Payroll experience working in a multi-provincial environment
Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
Ability to work well independently with a multitude of deadlines and alterations
Exceptional written and oral communication skills and the ability to compose and edit documents
Ensuring effective and efficient administration of the senior management office
Work with minimal supervision
Salary is 38-40k depending on experience
