David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Career Receptionist (temporary to permanent) based in downtown, Edmonton.

Our client, a leader in the Engineering field is currently seeking a Part Time Administrator/ Receptionist to help them out on a Temporary 4 months basis. The successful candidate will work alongside the Branch manager, ensuring customer satisfaction is met in every area of the organization. The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, exceptionally friendly and have an eye for detail.

Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.

Hours are Monday - Friday 10 am - 2 pm $17 p/h.

The Role: 

  • Managing and monitoring the front desk including answering and directing calls in a professional manner
  • Answer and direct phone calls using a multi-line switchboard
  • Scheduling appointments and making client call backs
  • Ordering office supplies
  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail and couriers
  • Assist with Data Entry as required
The Ideal Candidate:

  • 2 years RECENT Reception/Administrative experience   
  • Intermediate MS Word skills with the ability to draft memos
  • Intermediate Excel skills with the ability to create basic spreadsheets and enter data
  • Professional image and excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong multi-tasking and time management abilities
