This is a full time permanent opportunity located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. If you are a natural leader with a progressive improvement mindset and experience in a food manufacturing environment, this is a great opportunity for you! 

The Role:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate all day-to-day production activities, including scheduling production, manpower and maintenance shutdowns
  • Supervise, evaluate, motivate and train production personnel
  • Work in conjunction with the VP of Operations to establish and manage annual production department budgets
  • Assist in assuring compliance with appropriate regulations and standards, as well as monitoring to ensure sanitation standards are met
  • Plan and execute long and short-term improvement and optimization strategies, including monitoring line speed down time to find efficiencies
  • Act as liaison between logistics and production to ensure efficient planning and optimal use of resources
  • Work with lab on quality control testing
  • Achieve budgeted efficiency, safety and quality targets
The Ideal Candidate:

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead others
  • Logical, analytical and reasonable, with strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster and enhance relationships with the Leadership/Executive Team, peers, and contract customers
  • Performance Management focus
  • Strong work ethic and passionate dedication to quality
  • Innovative problem-solving skills in both personnel and technical areas
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Solid command of safety and regulatory requirements
  • Skills and understanding of the brewing process and familiarity with plant and process technology 
  • Computer literate, competent in MS Office (Word processing, Excel, Power Point)
  • Experience with union relations would be considered an asset
