The Operations - General Manager role is an integral part of the management team involved in setting and achieving the growth strategy for the company. The successful candidate will be in charge of directing daily activities for the benefit of employees, management, investors and customers.

The Role:
  • Manage all production operations within the company, including staff, third-party service providers and facilities
  • Develop and implement projects to increase efficiencies, yield, production and capacity across all processes with the company’s vision in mind
  • Assist and manage the delivery and payment programs with our farmer partners in unison with the company’s Farm Services team
  • Ensures the adherence of strict food safety in the food production facilities while maintaining the physical facilities in terms of cleanliness and efficiencies
  • Manages the safety of all workers in accordance with safety standards
  • Coordinates and oversees full supply chain logistics, including transportation, amongst the company’s production facilities, third-party production, and packaging facilities and with the customers
  • Ensures the development of robust, reliable and cost-efficient processing, transportation, and packaging relationships while improving the efficiencies within the company’s supply chain
  • Builds a strong team of highly motivated and entrepreneurial individuals committed to excellence in all aspects of the process, safety, and quality while maintaining the corporate culture and company morale

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Minimum 5 years of Operational/General management experience
  • Knowledge of physical plant management and marketing;
  • Experienced in directing process improvement and working according to KPIs
  • Proven leadership and managing people in a distribution or process driven environment
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
