David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Office Receptionist based in Downtown Edmonton.

Our client a dynamic, Consultant institution is looking for a Office Receptionist(With recent 1-2 years experience), to join their team to cover 1 year maternity leave position. The Office Receptionist will be a very organized individual with strong time-management skills. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and a friendly, outgoing attitude.

If you possess Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills and are eager to advance in the office profession, then this position is for you!

The Role:

  • Covering Reception - Answering on average 80-100 calls per day on a multi-line phone
  • Liaising with Building Security regarding door locking schedules, access troubleshooting.
  • Dealing with property management company in regards to maintenance requests 
  • Preparing and sending all courier packages - completing online shipping packages and payments
  • Receiving and processing invoices for all office related expenses
  • Ordering office supplies - (e.g. paper, toner, fruit and veg, coffee, milk, etc.)
  • Maintaining and cleaning of kitchen during the day
  • Maintaining and preparing of meeting rooms and setting up/cleaning up for catering/events
  • Prepping clean out of fridges
  • Pulling and chasing documents for payroll reports for all employees (over 300)
  • Booking meetings for staff, sending applicant evaluations
  • Other duties as required
The Ideal Candidate:

  • 1 year in a similar role
  • Strong multi-tasking and people skill
  • Adaptable, with the ability to manage Stress well
  • Knowledge of agency process, procedures, roles and responsibilities
  • Intermediate MS Word skills with the ability to draft memos
  • Intermediate Excel skills with the ability to create basic spreadsheets and enter data
  • Professional image and excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
