David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client, a professional association, to recruit an Office Manager based in Winnipeg, MB. The Office Manager will be supporting the President and Executive team, and will play a critical role in managing all administrative functions for their small office.
Building relationships with members and acting as a first point of contact for inquiries
Drafting communications on behalf of the executive such as press releases, memos, and letters
Managing calendars and creating travel itineraries
Coordinating events and assist in managing logistics for up to 1000 attendees
Organizing and scheduling meetings both on and off-site
Updating the website and social media with relevant content
Basic bookkeeping including managing day-to-day office expenses and issuing invoices
Troubleshooting basic IT issues
Maintaining the database, updating member information, and filing
The ideal candidate:
A minimum of three years of administrative/executive assistant/office management experience
Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail
A high-level of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion
A customer-focused approach with the ability to build relationships
Impressive written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft professional correspondence
A self-starting approach with the ability to work independently when needed
Intermediate proficiency with MS Office
Previous experience with QuickBooks is a strong asset
Previous experience with event planning is an asset
