Immediate Opportunity - Non-Profit Organization

David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit an Office Assistant for an immediate part time role for a Non-Profit organization. This opportunity based in Winnipeg is has the potential to become temporary to hire and the hours may become full time in a few months.   We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual who is reliable and approachable to fill the position of an Office Assistant. 

This position has a variety of clerical and administrative responsibilities with some light accounting responsibilities. The role is 21 hours to start for and may become full time hours after three months; this is a 6 month term to start and the role may become temporary to hire.

The Role:
  • A combination of Reception, Customer Service, Administration and light Bookkeeping
  • Answer the phones and greet visitors
  • Providing Customer Service over the phone and emails
  • Follow up with potential and existing clients
  • Data entry of clients and entering of billing information
  • Providing general administrative support to the project coordinator
  • Creating letters and reports
  • Data entry into Simply Accounting
  • Follow up on overdue accounts 
  • Other administrative duties as assigned
The Ideal Candidate:
  • 2+ years of experience within as an Office Assistant including Reception and Administration and some basic Accounting 
  • High degree of Customer Service is required in this position
  • Self-starter; work independently, or in a team environment
  • An interest in working in the non profit sector is an asset but not mandatory 
  • Experience with Simply Accounting is also an asset 
  • Must be able to multitask and deal with changing priorities working in a fast paced environment 
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Working hours would be 8.:0 am - 4:30 pm.

Salary is $14 - $15 per hour to start depending on experience.
