David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit for a North American Business Development Representative.

Our client is a well-established company that has recently begun to expand and is looking to add a dynamic individual to their sales and marketing team.  The organization is based within Winnipeg, but deals with companies across Canada and the United States with international markets on the horizon.

Your Role in the Company:

The responsibility of the Business Development Rep is to provide customizable solution-based sales to clients throughout North America. Qualified leads will be generated in collaboration with the marketing team and presentations will be conducted by the Rep to high-level clients (e.g. CEOs, directors, etc.). This person will have the ability to wear multiple hats within the organization’s creative environment and provide fresh and new ideas. With the head office based in Winnipeg, business development is done primarily in office, with the opportunity to travel across North America for proposal meetings and trade shows.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Expertise in solution selling and sales negotiations
  • 2+ years’ experience in direct sales
  • Exposure to formal sales presentations (in person, telephone, skype)
  • Working knowledge of proposal generation with strong communication and writing skills
  • An outgoing individual with a self-starter mindset and an ambitious personality
  • Ability to travel 1-2 trips per month
  • Experience selling into US clients is an asset
Compensation:

Our client offers a competitive compensation plan with a healthy base salary and great commission potential.
