David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Non For Profit Junior Executive Assistant based in South Edmonton.

Our client, a non for profit organization on the South end of Edmonton, is looking to find a Junior Executive Assistant to assist the General Manager on a temporary to permanent basis. In this role you will support the GM, coordinate their activities and ensure a timely flow of information. We're looking for someone with 2 years of Executive Assistant experience or administrative experience with heavy calendar management.

As the Executive Assistant you will have proven ability to work independently, screen and prioritize communication, meet deadlines and have the ability to make decisions by anticipating needs. Advanced MS Word and Excel skills are a must!

The Role:

  • Organize and manage the GM's calendars and event schedules ensuring nothing conflicts
  • Taking care of travel arrangements and booking details ensuring the most cost effective and efficient travel times are utilized
  • Managing and maintaining a comprehensive filling system
  • Liaising with different higher levels of staff, external clients, and members of the public and stake holders via phone
  • Organizing meetings, events, interviews, and appointments
  • Preparing agendas and taking meeting minutes
  • Typing correspondence, and business reports
  • Preparing documents and presentations
  • Screening letters, emails, and phone calls and responding to them on the GM's behalf
  • Preparing expense reports and purchase orders
The Ideal Candidate:

  • At least 2 years of experience working as an Executive Assistant
  • Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Complex calendar management experience is a MUST
  • Exceptional organization, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
  • Flexible and positive personality with a willingness to take on a variety of tasks
