Our client, a successful financial organization, based in Downtown Edmonton is seeking 3 Mortgage Retention Officers to join their rapidly growing team! Working in a heavily team-based environment, you will be responsible for managing mortgage renewal portfolios and recognizing refinancing options for current clients.

The successful candidate will be coachable, have a positive attitude and never afraid to take the initiative with tasks and clients. You will also be a proactive relationship builder, who love to take ownership of tasks. Intermediate user of MS Word and Excel is essential for this position.

The Role:
  • Proactively calling clients and managing upwards of 200 mortgage renews per month;
  • Working with clients providing mortgage advice and identifying refinancing options;
  • Assessing client needs, product suitability selection, rate negotiation, client objection handling, and identification of new sales opportunities;
  • Upselling and Cross-selling branch banking options to clients;
  • Completing end to end mortgage renewals;
  • Actively liaising with customer service and collections department regarding client issues and education needs.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • 2-3 years of sales experience in a banking institute;
  • Ability to make decisions independently using sounds judgment;
  • Thrive in a team focused mentorship environment;
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills;
  • Negotiating and conflict resolution skills.
