David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Medical Receptionist, on a Temporary basis.

Our client, a busy medical clinic located in central Winnipeg, is looking to find an enthusiastic Medical Receptionist to fill a temporary position to cover a busy medical office for vacation coverage. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for giving off a great first impression to all visitors of the medical clinic, and for performing such administrative tasks as scheduling appointments, filing documents, and answering phone calls.

If you have previous experience in a medical environment, and are also familiar with basic medical terminology, then we are looking for you!

The Role:

  • Answering incoming calls and managing a switchboard.
  • Greeting visitors at reception, and directing them to the appropriate area.
  • Scheduling medical appointments.
  • Photocopying and scanning documents.
  • Receiving and managing mail, emails, and faxes.
  • Updating the clinic's computer records and databases.
  • Data entry of procedures.
  • Word processing and data entry.
  • Filing and organizing medical records.
The Ideal Candidate:

  • 1+ year of experience in a Medical Receptionist role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel applications.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience within a medical environment, working with code med software is an asset.
