David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Mechanical Engineer/Technologist.   This position is based in our client's office headquarters in Winnipeg, where they manufacture the Equipment and distribute worldwide.  Our client is a leading manufacturer of equipment for the construction industry, recognized for innovation and excellence, committed to success of both their customers and employees.

The Role:
  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers
  • Travel to customer sites for equipment installation, maintenance, start-up, emergency repairs
  • Educate customers with respect to maintenance and operating procedures
  • Perform site performance audits and review customer process parameters to optimize product quality and overall machine performance
  • Complete service reports, maintain technical records
  • Interface with customer to provide sales leads to Sales Department
  • Provide sales support including engineering customization, layouts, etc.
  • Research and Development of new products, applications
  • Production support, prepare and issue drawings
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Ability to travel in Canada, US, International when required
  • Engineering Technologist or Engineer
  • AutoCAD 3D (2D) modelling
  • Mechanically competent, electrically competent is an asset
  • Experience in installation, repair, maintenance of equipment
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills required
  • Strong verbal, written communication skills, and interpersonal skills
  • High level of customer service skills
  • Strong computer competency with Microsoft office (Word, Excel)
  • Experience in manufacturing, or construction industry is an asset
Compensation:
  • A competitive salary is offered based on experience and skills plus bonus. The position is eligible for Employer-Paid Group Benefits package (medical, dental, extended health plan).
