This position is accountable for carrying out risk based monitoring in order to identify issues and risk. A key responsibility of the position is to liaise with various levels of management, as well as the Board of Directors, to report findings, recommendations and, ensure sound adherence to set risk tolerance levels. Perform risk based monitoring for early identification of risks and adherence to sound business practices.
Work with department heads to develop effective resolution of identified risks including areas of governance, financial analysis and ALM.
Identify, evaluate and communicate risks and trends to the appropriate internal and external parties.
The ideal candidate:
Professional accounting designation, Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation, graduate studies in finance or risk management or, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation are considered an asset.
Strong financial analysis capabilities, risk management experience, internal audit skills and understanding of internal controls.
Strong Interpersonal skills and ability to build trust and strong relationship at every level of an organisation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to present ideas among groups.
