David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Loan Administrator based in downtown Edmonton, AB.

Are you a dynamic individual who is looking to be part of an exciting growing team with a financial firm that offers banking services for small to mid-sized companies focusing on commercial banking, equipment financing and leasing, real estate construction, and energy lending? This role requires a clear credit and criminal check. 

This position is a 3 month contract that has the possibility of an extension for the right person. Intermediate word and excel skills are essential for success. T24 is system experience is considered a strong asset!

The Role:

  • Providing support to the lending activities of a designated customer and marketing group, working as a cooperative partner within a processing team.

  • Monitoring and overseeing new closings and transaction processing, including daily review and management of upcoming events to ensure timely processing and verification of maturing loans and commitments.

  • Completing loan authorizations, fund transfers, fund control logs, excel spreadsheets and fax notifications.

  • Participation in the double verification of all transactions processed by team.

  • Investigating and resolving any inquiries or transaction anomalies on a timely basis, and or within established timetables, received from customers, agent banks and or any internal sources.

  • Routinely reporting any problematic, irregular transactions, administrative and or personnel issues to management as appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 2 years Loan Administration experience.

  • Strong knowledge of business banking and loan processes.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders at different levels of the firm.

  • Customer focused with strong knowledge of commercial lending policies, procedures, regulations, documentation, collateral securities and audit requirements.

  • Strong technology aptitude and enjoys supporting a geographically diverse team engaging in multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Creative problem solving and conflict resolution skills, respectful and self-motivate team player.

  • MS Office Suite, Adobe proficient working with forms in addition to experience working in a banking system.
