David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Legal Assistant/Receptionist for their busy multi-location tax practice.
Based in downtown Edmonton, they are a small to mid-size firm and have an international presence. When it comes to their culture, they take the stuffy, traditional image of a law firm and do the opposite. There is growth opportunity here for someone with some reception and legal administrative experience. They will work with you to build upon your skills and compensate you with a competitive salary and comprehensive health plan.
First point of contact for clients
Assist a Partner with his practice
File management, entry level drafting of documents copying/scanning and other administrative duties
Calendar management, arranging meetings and travel
Support in marketing activities for the firm
Client care, maintain and update client files
Obtaining and processing information required to provide services in a timely manner
Perform other duties, such as filing, sorting and distributing mail, photocopying, faxing
The Ideal Candidate:
Well-developed client service skills
1+ year of experience as a Receptionist
1+ year of legal administrative experience is preferred
Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Excellent data entry speeds and accuracy
