David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Learning and Development Coordinator based in Edmonton, AB.
Our client, has an immediate opening for a passionate Learning and Development professional to join their Human Resources team. The Learning and Development Coordinator will be responsible for providing a combination of 15% implementing strategic direction, 80% basic external training service provider coordination and 5% internal training delivery and development of learning and development materials, as it relates to organizational effectiveness and engagement. The ideal candidate can maintain positive, collaborative and productive relationships with the organization.
Facilitates internal learning and development training programs that align with organizational objectives;
Manage multiple internal relationships and external relationships with vendors and external learning delivery services;
Provide support, interact with and advise Managers and Senior Leadership on learning and development opportunities;
Instructional design, development, and evaluation of classroom-based and e-learning programs;
Provide support and expertise to the development of learning and development policy;
Ongoing development, implementation and recommendation of strategies related to improve organizational effectiveness and business performance;
Collaborate with client group employees, managers and leadership in the development and implementation of strategies and tactics to address their specific people issues;
Support change management and organizational effectiveness initiatives;
Assist in succession planning and the strategic alignment of succession plans;
Identify trends and best practices and provide recommendations of new approaches to ensure continuous improvement to Learning and Development programs to meet expectations, enhance employee satisfaction, engagement and performance.
The Ideal Candidate:
Possess a degree in Business, HR, Education or a related discipline;
5-7 years' of related experience;
A minimum of 5 years of experience in planning, leading and implementing successful workplace initiatives and programs;
Demonstrated knowledge of organizational effectiveness, and performance management;
Understand and conceptualize a wide range of human resources subjects which can be applied to L&D initiatives and programs;
Demonstrated ability to source and coordinate events and training initiatives with vendors and learning providers.
Possess strong communication skills, both written and oral: can write,edit and review training related documents and materials;
Embody strong facilitation and presentation skills demonstrated by delivering subject matter to a diverse audience;
A passion and enthusiasm for research, develop, lead and manage projects of varying complexity.
