David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit for IT Support, Mobility Specialist based in Calgary, AB.

Day-to-day support and ongoing management of the EMM platform used for the management of end-user mobile computing devices. This position is primarily responsible for Apple iOS and Google Android devices but works within the team to support the workforce in all end-user computing devices.

The position will be located in Calgary and report to the Corporate IT Manager.

The Role:


  • Plan and create multiple mobility profiles for different groups of users
  • Provide second level support to end-users via tools such as Labtech and Spiceworks ticketing system
  • Analyzes and resolves complex technical problems involving multiple technologies including Web App and Mobile App, Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity, Citrix and mobile related issues, often through phone supportBuild subject matter expertise for the EMM program and Android and Apple-related technologiesAssists with development and maintenance of documentation and training materials internally and for the community
  • Provides end-user education via dissemination of knowledge base articles
  • Maintains the configuration and automation of EMM project deploymentsLiaises and communicates issues between field teams and the IT Operations and Systems teamsWorks with other Partners Teams to test and validate software for platforms managed by EMM
  • Uses the companies values to govern decisions, actions, and behaviours
  • Off-hours on-call support as required
  • Performs other duties as required

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 3+ years of mobile operating experience support, imaging, and maintenance experience, preferably in a large computing environment.
  • Experience in a fleet and/or service related company preferred
  • Experience with formal Change Management processes & good understanding of ITIL desiredExceptional problem solving and customer service skills
  • Experience with EMM tools such as MaaS360 or similar
  • Experience with ITIL service management tools such as LabTech, ConnectWise, and Spiceworks ticketing systemIn depth knowledge of and experience with iOS 9 through current release
  • Expert knowledge of Google Android Lollipop (5.x) through Oreo (8.x)Experience with testing mobile technologies and applications such as Apple TestFlight and Google Play Alpha/Beta channelsExcellent interpersonal skills to effectively and professionally communicate with cross-functional teams including staff at all levels of the organization including both technical and non-technical personnel
  • Ability to successfully negotiate and collaborate with others of different skill sets and backgroundsDemonstrated ability to work seamlessly within a team, while exhibiting a high level of initiative and professionalism
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work requirements and projects
  • Knowledge and understanding of device management and technologies such as MAM, MCM, and MTD
  • Understanding of common network protocols like TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP
  • Understanding of server platforms: Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X
