David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit for a Temporary IT Recruiter based in downtown Edmonton.

Our client, a leading government sector is currently seeking an IT Recruiter for a 6 Month Contract that has the possibility of an extension. As the IT Recruiter, you will have 3-5 years of previous recruiting of Information Technology Professionals. You will work closely with directors as well as being responsible for the 360 recruitment process for higher level candidates.
For this role you need to be an adaptable, flexible, determined, career driven individual that is extremely organized and has strong time-management skills.

The Role:

  • Responsible for executing the complete recruitment cycle (i.e. posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, candidate recommendations, offer letter preparation, and reference checks) ensuring that hiring specifications and budgetary requirements are met
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the external market to ensure that they maintain a competitive position in recruiting talent
  • Consults, educates, and transfers knowledge of established staffing processes, interviewing skills and relevant legislation to hiring managers
  • Identifies and establishes sourcing strategies to attract top talent utilizing multiple resources including networking and social media
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and sourcing strategies
  • Provide direct regular feedback and dialogue to operational clients on vacant position sourcing and screening
  • Participates in a wide variety of projects, programs and initiatives in conjunction with various members of the HR team
The Ideal Candidate:

  • College diploma in Human Resources or related discipline - University degree is preferred
  • 3 years of recruiting experience within a dynamic and sophisticated business culture
  • CHRP designation is a definite asset
  • Relevant retail experience preferred
  • In depth sourcing and recruitment experience is required
  • Proven success in the identification of key talent in retail and corporate environments
  • Experience in utilizing innovative and creative approaches to recruiting
  • High-performing team player who is capable of a high degree of self-management
  • Proficiency using applicant tracking systems
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong relationship management experience is required
