David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit an Investment Advisor Assistant based in downtown Edmonton.

Our client, leader in the financial sector in downtown Edmonton, is currently seeking an Investment Advisor Assistant to join their fast paced Wealth Management Team for a temporary to permanent basis. The successful candidate will have completed their CSC and CPH and have 1 - 2 year's similar experience.

The successful candidate must be dedicated, hard-working and detail orientated. As the Investment Advisor Assistant, you must be able to multi task and work alone or within a team. The ideal candidate must have intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office. If you meet the requirements for this exciting, demanding position, then apply today!!

The Role:

  • Assist Investment Advisors with processing and confirming client transactions
  • Deal directly with all the clients, provides quotes and execute trading orders
  • Maintain account lists and compile statistical information and reports
  • Process and follow-up on client documentation for proper maintenance of accounts
  • Assist with servicing existing clients and prospecting for new clients
  • Explain products and services recommended to clients and respond to general questions
  • Perform various admin duties and conduct research as required
The Ideal Candidate:

  • 1 - 2 years' of securities industry experience
  • Completion of CSC and CPH
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure with a strong ability to multi-task
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees and clients at all levels
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong initiative and ability to work effectively without supervision
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel and Outlook)
