Based in Edmonton, our client is a leader in their market within the manufacturing and construction industries and is seeking a dynamic Inventory Manager to join their fast growing and innovative company. With a customer-first focus and a team based culture, the ideal candidate has expertise developing and implementing process to improve efficiency and ensure inventory control.  

The Role:

  • Develop and Lead Supply Chain initiatives and inventory control projects
  • Develop, lead and execute short and long-term supply chain, logistics & inventory strategies
  • Manage inventory levels across warehouse and plant locations
  • Forecast market trends to identify changes in industry
  • Works with and mentors Inventory Management team to conduct inventory analysis to solve inventory problems
  • Coordinates and manages physical cycle counts 
  • Responsible for strategic forecasting, development of inventory management policies and procedures for ensuring the availability of all necessary materials required, and ensuring adequate stock
  • Aids in developing min/max levels and oversees the handling of dead stock items
  • Managing and confirming the accuracy of the ERP system regarding inventory
  • Coaching and mentoring the Inventory Management team
The Ideal Candidate:

  • Post-secondary degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business preferred 
  • SCMP Designation and/or Lean 6 Sigma training is an asset
  • Minimum 10 years previous experience in a supply chain/Inventory control role
  • Proven success managing a team
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs required (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Prior experience managing an ERP System
  • Able to lead and direct team with clear communication
  • Analytical and strategic
