David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit an Intermediate Administrative Assistant (temporary to permanent) based in Edmonton, AB.
Our downtown client, a rapidly growing private insurance firm, is seeking an administrative professional to join their team. This role reports directly to the VP of corporate services. As part of a dynamic, business oriented team, the ideal candidate will be friendly, organized and with outstanding attention to detail and strong time management abilities.
Administering and processing planning and engineering applications
Organizing meeting and event logistics - preparing agendas, creating reports, power point presentations, coordinating internal and external meeting spaces, catering, and technology
Manages calendars, for senior management team
Coordinating monthly safety information and meetings
Monitoring and updating projects and documents, including maintaining SharePoint databases
Preparing expense claims and coding invoices
Represent Division in Annual Safety meeting
The Ideal Candidate:
2 years+ of administrative experience
Intermediate MS Word skills with the ability to draft memos
Previous experience dealing with stakeholders and Engineers is considered and asset
Intermediate Excel skills with the ability to create basic spreadsheets and enter data
Professional image and excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong multi-tasking and time management abilities
Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision
Outstanding attention to detail
