David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit Information Security Analyst, based in Winnipeg.

 We are working with Canada’s leader in a fast-moving high growth company providing world class online solutions and customer services for an Information Security Analyst.  This individual will be responsible for leading, developing and supporting information security controls and processes throughout the company enterprise.  Driving innovation through technology, working across enterprise applications and business enablement.

The Role:

  • Work closely with management, leads, peers, business and technology teams to ensure systems have appropriate access and governance controls and protection
  • Support the design and implementation of access controls
  • Work with the broader IT security, risk and compliance organization to interpret policies and standards, ensuring policies and standards are properly followed
  • Create, update and maintain documentation (including process documents and procedures)
  • Provide assistance and support ensuring on-time delivery of access related initiatives
  • Report on the effectiveness of current processes and make recommendations for improvements
  • Facilitate attestations to ensure appropriateness of provisioned access
  • Offer security consulting/advisory services on projects which have an impact on the security posture of the organization
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Liaise with business units to provide tailored information security advice and awareness
  • Contribute to and assist with compliance initiatives
The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an enterprise Information Technology security related role
  • Degree in Computer Science, or related Information Security programs/designations
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Excellent technical writing skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform quality assurance and create high quality deliverables with minimal supervision
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to lead and/or actively participate in working sessions and stakeholder meetings
  • Certifications such as: CISSP, CISM, or CISA certifications are assets
  • Experience with ISO 27001 and NIST are assets
