David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit for a HR Manager.  

$100,000 -$110,500 base + bonus.

This role leads the HR initiatives for two manufacturing facilities in the GTA to ensure business strategies and priorities are achieved across the organization.  As a strategic business partner, provides human resources expertise on matters relating to employee/labour relations, performance management, organizational design and development, conflict resolution, human resources policies and procedures, compensation and benefits, legislation and employment law.   This position is also responsible for providing HR leadership to assess, create and implement people strategies, systems, and processes to support performance management, employee development, succession planning, and talent acquisition. 

The Role:

  • Partner with Division HR Leader, Operations and Business Leaders to develop and implement strategic HR/business objectives.  Understand the business and HR’s impact on results.  
  • Partner with corporate HR Centers of Excellence (COE’s) to effectively implement initiatives while providing guidance and support locally.  Drive accurate and timely completion of HR processes including performance management, salary planning and learning & development. 
  • Counsel leadership teams on development and implementation of effective policies and procedures which support achievement of company goals in a manner that is consistent with core values. 
  • Discover, create, and lead sharing of best practices as well as identify issues or opportunities in the operations and develop solutions to address. 
  • Proactively network and recruit to build professional network in anticipation of talent needs within the company. 
 The Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field. 
  • Minimum of five years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience. 
  • Strong ability to interpret legislation and employment law.
  • Working knowledge and experience in talent management, talent development and succession planning processes and programs.
  • Demonstrated success working in a highly collaborative environment, with a track record of accomplishment with measurable business impact. 
  • Excellent leadership skills including; superb communication, delivery of results, consultative skills, partnership skills, and team building.
