Our client a small, innovative non-profit organization that creates and promotes programs that sustain healthy lifestyles and workplaces across the province, is currently looking to hire and HP Business Partner for a 14month Mat Leave coverage. The successful candidate will have expertise in the areas of full-cycle recruiting, policies and procedures, performance management and employee relations.

Facilitating all aspects of the recruitment and selection process while including the appropriate department leader
Overseeing and providing guanidine and mentorship to HR Administrator
Leading the orientation process for all new hires
Ensuring all Position Descriptions are streamlined and accurate
Support the achievement of the organization’s goals and objectives and contribute to the performance management process
Creating and maintaining policies and having an adept ability with policy interpretation
Benchmarking the competences of an organization against “best in class”, measuring output performance (comparison of financial performance, key financial ratio and quality or satisfaction) emphasizing on continuous quality improvement
Assisting with Learning and developments goals of the organization
Tactfully managing all employee relations, complaints and investigations, disciplinary issues, terminations, salary reviews
Enhance the development of the Human Resources team by contributing to the department’s strategies and plans
Responding to internal and external disability claims
Act as a resource for employees by answering questions or concerns, and providing guidance and support through issues or concerns with leaders or colleagues
Project committee commitments related to HR implications, member on-boarding, collaborative solutions
The Ideal Candidate:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management
Must be a skilled generalist and able to complete full circle Human Resources practices
Demonstrate a strong critical thinking, critical listening and systems thinking approach
Experience with direct sourcing of candidates, assessment of their skill knowledge, and full-cycle recruiting
Adept knowledge of laws, regulations and legislation
Proven ability to guide, coach and motivate others
Exceptional communication and organizational skills
Ability to establish and nurture effective working relationships
Demonstrated ability to keep confidentiality, interpret complex information and act decisively
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to produce a variety of options
