Our client, a successful Oil and Gas company located in central Edmonton, is looking for a Human Resources Assistant for a 3 month contract that has the possibility of permanency for the right person! This safety focused firm requires a versatile individual who is willing to perform a variety of different tasks on a daily basis.
As the HR administrator you will work closely with Recruiters and managers, ensuing successful execution of daily operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years HR administration experience. Additional Site administration experience is considered and Asset! Intermediate Word and Excel are essential for successful placement.
Booking new employees for pre-employment testing
Performing employee orientation and ensuring training in completed
Documenting and filing all disciplinary actions
Composing all employee correspondence, such as offer letters, salary change, disciplinary
Main point of contact for enrollments, changes, terminations, disability applications, claim forms related to group benefits
Ensuring the company’s system is current and implemented by all managers
Liaising with all departments to create and maintain company policies and procedures
Responding to information requests and refer them as necessary
The Ideal Candidate:
Minimum of 1-2 years of HR administration experience
Intermediate MS Word skills with the ability to develop templates, track changes and use style sheets
Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create spreadsheets and use formulas
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
Exceptional communication skills
