David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Human Resources Advisor Analyst based in Downtown Edmonton.  

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Advisor Analyst will assist in the development and implementation of current HR functions that support initiatives, programs, and projects of the Human Resources Department, as well as the design and delivery of company policies, procedures and programs. Additionally, this position will provide strategic analysis of HR data and research to help drive informed decisions within HR and throughout the organization. 

The Role:

  • Execution of the strategic direction of the human resource department 
  • Identify and anticipate changing organizational needs and adjust HR programs accordingly
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Develop effective business relationships and service as a partner in strategic approaches to human resources
  • Compile and analyze data form internal and external sources to develop business reports to help identify relationship between employee activities and business results
  • Ensure all human resource functions are in compliance with provincial and federal regulation
  • Provide ongoing analysis of employee benefits program
  • Oversee annual compensation review
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR programs including documentation, creation, and review of both standing and new policies and initiatives
  • Education employees on HR policies and support the onboarding/off boarding process
  • Maintain administrative oversight of compensation structure and online time management system 
The Ideal Candidate:

  • Possesses a post-secondary degree in Human Recourses, Business, Statistics, or related
  • 2-5 years of related experience in multiple HR functions 
  • Has a membership and designation with the Human Resources Institute of Alberta 
  • Knowledge of HR practices, policies and processes
  • Technical knowledge of HR legislation
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
  • Awareness of confidentially and privacy requirements
  • A self-starter with excellent time management
  • Strong facilitation and problem solving skills
